Poster made for PATOTYCZNOŚĆ exhibition in Torun, Poland.

The name PATOTYCZNOŚĆ in polish is a wordplay on two words: „patetyczny” - which means something very sublime, solemn, but also bombastic in a way, and „patologiczny” - which means social pathology. It was exploring he theme of exaggerated, pompous patriotism, that often turn to nationalist tendencies. It is common among the people from the lower classes, wandering around polish blocks of flats, often hooligans; it’s some kind of its own aesthetic, people wearing tracksuits, the gray colors of these blocks of flats, lots of cheap beer and bald heads. This mix of different flavors of polish culture was all depicted on the exhibition, as well as on the poster.
