Go with the flow of the Mills
tourist game
Client: Rother's Mills Culture & Science center in Bydgoszcz
A tourist game serving as a guide to the Rother’s Mills – a 19th-century historic complex consisting of a mill and adjacent granaries, now functioning as a cultural and scientific center. By following the instructions, visitors can explore the restored building and discover its history. The game design includes a site map, a walking route with tasks to complete and historical facts, as well as a space for a stamp – a reward for completing the entire route.
The client wanted a project that would be available for free to the guests of the institution and would help them navigate around. The building's structure and pathways are very complex and it's easy to get lost when you are here for the first time. This game's mission is to help visitors find every interesting thing about this place without the need to be guided by someone from the institution's staff.
Since this building is a part of Bydgoszcz city's industrial heritage, there are lots of stories and trivia to tell about it – the goal was to deliver them to guests who aren't sightseeing while on a guided tour, without making information signs everywhere on the building's walls.
